Coenzyme Q-10 is a vitamin-like combination, which is a catalyst in formation of ATP (adenosine triphosphate) molecule, the only source of energy for all living beings, starting from viruses and finishing with a human. Coenzyme Q-10 participates in producing 95% of all cellular energy.

Coenzyme Q-10 (ubiquinone) is produced in the human body from birth, but after the age of 30 the coenzyme production has the tendency to decrease.  The reason for this deficiency may lay in its synthesis derangement at birth or an acquired defect. Today science cannot explain the reasons of this decrease. Ubiquinone is synthesized in the liver.  It comes from food products (mainly of animal origin). From food one can get up to 10 mg of coenzyme a day, and the daily need is 30 mg. Therefore there is a need for an additional source, which would increase vital energy and slow down the aging processes.

Coenzyme Q-10 possesses a high antioxidant effect; it neutralizes free radicals, assisting in saving of integrity of cell structures and cell by itself. Its effect is an important influence towards the body’s metabolism. Its dysfunctions are the reason for many diseases, including diabetes, endocrine glands disorders and deposits of cholesterol and formation of excess fats. Ubiquinone action is not simultaneous. The results of its intake start developing 2-4 weeks after the beginning of the course, when the required level of its concentration is reached.
