 Chlorella (Chlorella vulgaris) is a unicellular seaweed. It contains a lot of protein, B-vitamins, vitamins C and D, microelements, including the rarely found in other products, chlorophyll, and polyunsaturated fatty acids. It holds more vitamin B12 than liver, and also substantial amounts of beta-carotene. Chlorella protein holds all the essential amino acids (in quality it is equal to beer yeast protein, soy and peanut flour protein, and dry milk). Chlorella assists in the restoration of gastrointestinal tract functioning for dysbacteriosis. It possesses specific detoxication action with respect to endogenous and exogenous toxins, and also anti-inflammatory, regenerative and immune stimulating properties.

In seaweed there is pigment chlorophyll, which is also called “green gold”, for its molecular structure similarity to the molecule of hemoglobin.
